Tileyard North investing in Wakefield

go back

Wakefield Council has released a series of case studies focusing on investment in the district.

Tileyard North proudly features in a dedicated film, shot here on-site at Rutland Mills and from the community at Tileyard London.

Noting a “real optimism in the city”, Co-Founder Paul Kempe explores the need for a central community and shares the vast support Wakefield Council has given throughout the development.

A project that “has been five, six years in the making”, Co-Founder Nick Keynes conveys his excitement as Rutland Mills transforms into Tileyard North, a destination “for a new generation to use and drive the economy”.

Councillor Darren Byford – cabinet member for regeneration, economic growth and property – added: “[Tileyard North] will continue to reinforce Wakefield and West Yorkshire’s growing reputation as the northern home for creative industries”, and expressed that our “fantastic energy… is a huge part of the Rutland Mills transformation”.

Stay tuned for more updates as the development continues to take shape – we can’t wait to finally welcome you, Wakefield.
