We caught up with Matt Sanchez – multi-instrumentalist, writer, composer and producer – who has joined us as a resident.

Bringing his creativity and technical expertise to Tileyard North, Matt has produced over 1,000 published works for Universal Music, Audio Network and BMG Production Music. We can’t wait to see how his vast portfolio grows in his new space.

It’s over to you, Matt…

You’re one of the first residents to call Tileyard North home – how does it feel to join the community?

Yes, really great! It’s already starting to feel like home after just the first month or so of being here! I’m really looking forward to getting to know everyone better as the community grows.

With years of experience of working closely with clients, how would they describe you?

It’s been wonderful having had the opportunity to work with some fantastic clients on some interesting projects over the years… some feedback I’ve received has been that I’m a good collaborator and bring fresh ideas to the mix.

You’ve created bespoke music for many beloved BBC, ITV, Channel 4 & 5 shows – do you have any favourite projects you can tell us more about?

A project I recently created music for was C4 Dispatches. The episode focused on a difficult subject matter so it was a bit of a different angle from what I’ve worked on in the past. It was an interesting project with challenges to make sure the right tone was set without intruding on the dialogue and stories.

Can you share with us any exciting news for 2023?

There are some exciting production music projects I’m currently on with due for release a little later this year, as well some commissioned music for tv programs coming up too which I really love doing.
