Creative industries community to launch northern base in Yorkshire

The Business Desk were quick to report on the expansion into Yorkshire and shared the thoughts of our Co-Founder, Paul Kempe, who commented: “There is a huge amount of talent in the North, but there’s nothing like Tileyard out of London, so this is the perfect opportunity to bring all that talent together in a central place where they can work together and collaborate.” Our aims to initiate new business and community-driven relationships were key takeaways from this piece, as our mission to support growing businesses and independent artists were explored.

Creative hub set to open in Wakefield

Insider also shared the news, looking at Tileyard London and its growth since 2011, of which the resident community already includes the likes of Apple Music 1, Noel Gallagher, The Prodigy, 8Bars, Pioneer DJ, Believe Digital, SoundCloud and Spitfire Audio. Going on to spotlight the multi-million-pound regeneration of the Grade II listed Rutland Mills site – which will be home to Tileyard North – they share our ambitions to create an environment where we can empower talent in the area and spark new opportunities.

Creative hub chooses Wakefield for second site

The news spread to Business Link, who detailed how we’re bringing the Tileyard vision to the North, creating ‘a destination for collaborative partnerships in all facets of the commercial creative sector.’ Co-Founder, Nick Keynes, also shared his thoughts on how the development will be “a place to belong for the game changers and tastemakers of the North”.
